UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer was photographed crouching on the floor to get documents spilled by US President Donald Trump during a joint announcement of a new UK-US business package at the G7 summit in Canada in an unanticipated act of political dance. When Trump opened his files for the cameras only to have some papers flying to the floor as the two leaders had only announced the much-anticipated trade agreement’s standard signing. Starmer immediately bent over and said,” Oops, sad about that,” while Trump chuckled as he apologized,” It’s a very important document.” Starmer later told investigators that he acted immediately, knowing that if anyone else moved forward, Trump’s security team might take them down. He said,” There weren’t many decisions,” in a half-joke. Trump, in his usual style, falsely announced the package as one with the European Union rather than the UK.” I was only seriously aware that it wouldn’t have been great for anyone else to step forward,” Trump said.
