As Americans applauded them and Mayor Eric Adams for their showing some back, the NYPD removed a Israeli flag that anti-Israel activists had raised on the City College of New York school.
Kaz Daughtry, the deputy director of operations for the NYPD, and Tarik Sheppard, the deputy director of public data, both took part in the raising of the symbol on Tuesday in a viral video. The men happily did thus and were filmed at the flagpole’s center at the university’s Harlem Heights school. In the movie, a potential school security guard was seen pitching the Arab flag before the Stars and Stripes took its place.
According to The Hill, this occurred after the officers stormed the Columbia and City College of New York schools and made about 300 extremists who supported Hamas arrests. However, people had taken down the American flag outside the brick tower in Harlem on Wednesday evening. There is a rumor that no symbol is flying right now there.
Mayor Eric Adams praised the flag-raising as a patriotic function that demonstrated that New Yorkers “are certainly surrendering” their way of life before the American flag was taken down once more.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Adams said,” It may be good for other people but not for me.” My aunt died defending this land. These men and women put their lives in danger. It’s vile that schools will let another country’s symbol to travel in our country. So I ca n’t blame myself for my American pride. And I thank Commissioner Daughtry for raising our symbol once more. We are n’t giving up on anyone’s way of life.
According to the New York Post,” Daughtry said the flag raising occurred after police discovered’desecrated’ American flags on capital schools.”
The New York Police and Adams appear to be standing up for the violent outsiders in their area.
” Awesome moment and happy moment as we helped @CityCollegeNY restore order on campus,” which was followed by the raising of Old Glory once more on their college pole,” Daughtry posted on X.”
Agitators “illegally removed an American emblem from a pole, discarded it, and chose to drop their own symbol.” While we were going through the schools, we saw several American colors torn, burned and desecrated, “he said in another article.

The New York Post noted that the Arab symbol had been flying at CCNY ever since demonstrators set up an encampment there last week.
On Tuesday evening, police and protesters opposed to Israel clashed fiercely. The demonstrations appear to be about to turn into full-scale protests right now.
The pro-Palestinian protesters threw bursts at police and surrounded themselves inside an operational tower, the media outlet reported. Many of the protesters were from a party that traveled across Manhattan to protest at various colleges in the area.
Up until further notice, all of City College’s courses are currently being held mildly.
