J. D. Vance confronted CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on her own ground and wiped out her from the false results of the studies against previous President Trump.
Since she had the home-court benefit, a sneering Collins was clearly aware that she would stage Vance. Vance handled her questions on presidential immunity like an expert and obedient to her disdain for him and Trump, but it did n’t work that way.
You’re a Yale-educated lawyer, and I want to know your opinion on what happened last week, when Trump’s team and his attorney argued that a president could get the military to hold a coup, have their social opponent killed, and be exempt from prosecution unless this theory is proven to be true. Do you agree with the statement that “presidents are essentially above the regulation”? Vance was asked to adopt the communist perspective that Collins liked.
” Look, Kaitlan, I think we need to be careful about imputing words into the president’s attorneys that they did n’t actually say”, Vance warned her.

Collins then proceeded with the bogus tale, demonstrating a shocking lack of understanding of constitutional law.
” He agreed with it“, she informed Vance.
” What the government’s lawyer said, Kaitlan, to be clear, is that there is a checks and balances structure in our Constitution. Today, some things the leader does – private works – are guilty to criminal sanctions, but most of the things that the president does in their official duties, we have a method of prosecution. We have a system of checks and balances. I am a part of the criminal branch, the legislative branch. I did not understand that the mayor’s lawyers were threatening a coup. The government’s attorneys claim that the legal system of checks and balances is flawed, ” Vance said before being interrupted by a frantic Collins.
” No, no”, she insisted.
” –would address that problem. And I think –” he started once.
She told Vance to “let me stop you correctly it,” and she tried to cut him off.
” –it’s an important distinction”, he said finishing his thought.
Kaitlan is out of her depth when it comes to Vance. He has the information.

Collins then made the false claim that Trump and his lawyer were defending a revolution.
” But because I listened to this, let me cease you right away. It’s John Sauer, Trump’s lawyer. And he responded when one of the justices asked him if the president could appoint a military coup, which would mean that he could n’t be tried for it because of the circumstances. What conditions, specifically, warrant a president’s executive order to launch a revolution? Collins fraudulently asked.
” Well, first of all, he did suggest it depends on the situation. That opens up a lot of possibilities for context-building that. But more important, Kaitlan, he’s really saying that do count –” Vance began again before being interrupted.
” But that’s an official action in your view overly”?! Collins charged.
All she has is anger and frustration. They’re no fit for details.

Vance, who is a persistent man, eventually made it clear he wanted to finish a paragraph.
” Could I end the answer to the question, Kaitlan? Our method has a number of checks and balances, an official work. There’s the prosecution method, there’s the budget authority that Congress has. There are a number of ways that Congress has a” check and balance” with the US president. All he’s saying is that the criminal responsibility methods that exist in this country do n’t include the president’s standard functions”, he explained.
” And by the way, how could anybody agree with that? Kaitlin? Does Barack Obama face legal retribution for the drone strike that killed an American citizen? There are numerous historical instances in which the Biden administration’s lawfare standard may make it impossible for the president to actually carry out the legislation. But, in the name of taking down their political opposition, Kaitlan, these men are actually pushing a constitutional principle that I think would kill the president, whether a Democrat or Republican is in charge”, Vance responded, completely demolishing Collins ‘ line of argument.
Collins naturally reacted at that point because it was obvious that Trump is not her subject matter.
That smirk on smoothbrain Kaitlan’s face says it all, she never thought of it like that. All she knows is’ Orange Man Bad!’

” Well, I do n’t think Jack Smith is running for office. You basically say that the president’s only recourse is that he can be impeached or that Congress can restrain the budget if he orders the military to hold a coup, but you’re basically saying that. she pressed forward.
” Well, Kaitlan, first of all, you’re dealing with hypotheticals here that are completely outside the bounds of this particular situation. Despite the fact that a lot of media reports that he did on January 6th, Donald Trump did not order a coup. He encouraged people to protest peacefully. And of course, most people on January 6 did protest peacefully. Vance responded,” I’m saying that you have to have some liability for the official acts of the US presidency.”
” And the way to put a check and balance on that system is what the Constitution says is here. You can have prosecutors who, in part, are deeply connected to the Democratic Party and are attempting to end the life of a former president who is now running for president because they believe they have a stronger case to support what that president should have done. With Donald Trump, there is always room for disagreement on a political issue. You should n’t destroy the presidency in the process. And I believe that’s what the Department of Justice and the Biden administration are trying to accomplish, he said hammering Collins with logic.
One of these has an evil leer, odd brow thing and smirk. The other is a reasoned Christian speaking truth, which can you identify?

Collins, who had all of her tools in her possession, was a dog with a bone, and she refused to let it go despite being proven to be incorrect.
You essentially agree that presidents should not be able to be prosecuted, but you do, in essence, agree that.” She described her lamely giving up on the subject and moving on.
