On Thursday, republicans observated the National Day of Prayer, thanking God for the work he has done for the nation and seeking His advice for the upcoming days.

Americans join together on this National Day of Prayer to thank God for the blessings, freedom, and prosperity that He has given our great nation, according to a statement from the Republican National Committee ( RNC ) asking for members of the military to make sacrifices to advance our freedoms and protect the free world as well as the law enforcement officers who are protecting us here at home.

” Today, we ask God for His advice, peace, and wisdom”, the RNC added.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL ) made a statement to celebrate the occasion by reaffirming how fortunate Americans are to live in a nation where one can “pray and worship freely without fear or persecution.”

” There’s no question meditation is strong. No matter what you are going through, realize you can always go to the Lord in prayer”, the lawmaker added:
