When US President Joe Biden travels to Silicon Valley next year, popular Hindu American venture capitalist Vinod Khosla will host a large fund-raising welcome at his house in Portola Valley, California. The event, scheduled to be held next Friday, has contribution ticket prices in the range of$ 6, 600 to$ 100, 000.
Dinesh Sastry, one of the event’s organizers and a part of the Biden Victory Fund, told the Times of India,” Khosla, a friend of mine for many years, is not always a politician, but he felt that he should number President Biden with his family during their attend to Silicon Valley.”
He added that the Indian British society has been largely silent on the Democratic presidential campaign so far in the recent election cycle, and that the Khosla event will be the first significant fundraising event. Khosla is not particularly political, and his only significant social gatherings in the past were his 2000 trip to Washington, DC, where he met with original Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Khosla had earlier accepted my offer to join with 10 Democratic lawmakers to talk about taxation on investment options for Silicon Valley company executives andamp; people, according to Sastry.
Though the list of validated participants is not yet available, some of the doyens of the American National group including businesses, venture businessmen and academicians quite as Kailash Joshi, Kanwal Rekhi, Suhas Patil, K. B. Chandrasekhar and Sabeer Bhatia have been invited to Khosla’s fund raising event.
Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems and co-founder of Khosla Ventures, is alleged to have contributed$ 1.4 million to the campaign’s November 2018 presidential poll, according to documents obtained by the Federal Election Commission.
