Larry Summers, the former chairman of Harvard University, claimed Friday that Harvard’s hostile atmosphere and its policies violate federal civil rights.
According to a report from Breitbart News, the anti-Israel demonstrations at Harvard have resulted in problems and racist chants. Many Jewish individuals struggle with their studies because of concern for their health.
Summers and Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA ) both claimed that Harvard violated the Civil Rights Act by allowing a pro-Palestinian campsite to hold Harvard Yard, chanting radical racist phrases, and preventing research and tests.
I agree w my representative, Democrat Jake Auchincloss, that Harvard is in continuous violation of Federal anti- bias rules. https ://t.co/ZOcdgi14Lj

Summers continues to serve as a teacher at Harvard despite abdicating as leader.
The , Boston Herald reported:
The Massachusetts representative spoke with Jewish and Jewish pupils at Harvard University on Thursday, the day an encampment appeared on April 24. The relations, he said, provided a clear sign that the Cambridge college is in contravention of Title VI.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits race, color, or regional source discrimination in programs and activities that receive federal financial aid, including abuse based on a woman’s shared lineage or racial characteristics.
Following Hamas ‘ terrorist attacks on October 7, Harvard has been subject to the federal investigation for potential discrimination.
In 2019, the Trump administration declared that Jews would be protected as a racial group or nationality as opposed to just as a religious group, giving them additional federal civil rights protections in 2019.
Since radical anti-Israel demonstrations on campus became the norm for Jewish students, a trend that has exploded since October 7 with sit-ins and” campaignments,” radical anti-Israel demonstrations have become a common practice.
The Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights has been investigating Harvard and other universities, as has the Republican- led House. However, both Kristen Clarke, the head of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, and Attorney General Merrick Garland have not commented.
Just days after the New York Police Department removed anti-Israel students from a campus hall, Clarke is scheduled to address the commencement ceremony of Columbia Law School on Monday.
