
NEW DELHI: A 22- season- old MTech scholar from Karnal, Navjeet Sandhu, was reportedly stabbed to death in Melbourne, Australia, during a debate between some American students over a rent issue. The event occurred on Saturday around 9 am native day, according to the victim’s brother, Yashvir.
Navjeet had accompanied his companion, another American scholar, to his home to collect his possessions. Navjeet witnessed a fight and heard screaming inside while his companion was in. When Navjeet tried to intervene asking them not to fight, he was fatally stabbed in the chest with a knife,” Yashvir, who is set to retire from the Army in July, said.
The reported accused even hails from Karnal, and Navjeet’s companion, whom he was accompanying, sustained injuries in the event as well.
The family is now in surprise as a result of the information being released early on Sunday morning.
Navjeet had spent one and a half decades in Australia while on a study card. His parents, a producer, had sold one- and- quarter acres of their land to finance his schooling.
Navjeet’s home was supposed to take holidays in July. He claimed that Navjeet was a beautiful scholar and that he would take vacations with his family in July.
The home appeals to India’s government to expedite the body’s return.
” We urge the Government of India to help us to provide the system as soon as possible”, he added.
