Israel’s Defense Force ( IDF) launched a long-awaited operation on Rafah on Monday, according to spokesman for the Israeli government, David Mencer, who said Monday that the Israel’s warning to residents of Rafah should be taken seriously and not as a bluff.
Israeli government official David Mencer responded to a press briefing by Breitbart News to inquire whether Monday’s caution, which included flyers, SMS messages, phone calls, and Arabic channels, was a plan to persuade Hamas to take a prisoner deal that was in the works.
Mencer claimed that the IDF’s stated goals for the procedure in Rafah are “executive.” The final four regiments of Hamas are located in Rafah. They must remain in power; it has been made clear that if we do that, they will just reclaim Gaza. And therefore, they will strike us afterwards, because that’s exactly what they have said”.
He claimed that Israel may “liberate Gaza from Hamas.”
Whether or not the Biden presidency agrees with the White House’s repeated requests to Israel to stop attacking Hamas, Israel appears determined to proceed.
Mencer noted that the residents of Rafah should “remove” because they will be operating against the criminal organizations in these places because of the warnings issued to them in a proper place on the Ancient border. He added that the IDF had warned , that” Gaza City ]in northern Gaza ] is still a dangerous active combat zone” and that residents should “avoid returning north of Wadi Gaza”.
He said that in the fresh, expanded charitable zones near Rafah, such as the Al- Mawasi place near the beachfront, “humanitarian aid did proceed”. He confirmed information that there was too much food in northeastern Gaza and that industry “both in the north and the south are bustling” and that Israel had been told to cut back on help.
” The problem has never been about getting help into Gaza, but about getting help to the citizens in Gaza before it is stolen, and looted, by Hamas”, Mencer said.
Mercer even noted that Monday marked Israel’s standard Holocaust memorial time,  ,” Yom HaShoah Ve- Hagevurah” or” Evening of ( remembrance of ) the Holocaust and the Heroism”.
He noted that Israel was mourning the deaths of four Hamas men who were killed on Sunday during a rocket strike at the border crossing between Israel and Gaza, where humanitarian assistance is flown from Israel.
Mencer made the implication that Israel was still open to negotiations after being asked whether a Rafah activity meant a deadlock in the hostage negotiations.” We have stated repeatedly that the Israeli government is committed to doing whatever it takes to bring our hostages home. He said that Hamas had” sabotaged” the most recent offer in a “deliberate” manner.
If Israel did n’t consent to the end of the war, Hamas resisted entering a deal. Because doing so would mean allowing Hamas to live and come back to power in Gaza, Israel has refused to do so.
Mercer put the number of victims at 132 victims, adding that” 37 of them have however been killed by Hamas”. At least 60 Jewish captives are believed to be alive, according to Israeli-Army Radio’s report on Sunday.
