In order to prepare for Monday’s Met Gala, law enforcement from the New York Police Department increased safety around the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Pro-Palestine activists were seen demonstrating outside the Met Gala, some also removing the officers barricades.
The New York Post reported:
According to officers options, about 20 activists were detained earlier in the evening as a cluster of protesters marched toward the Met from Hunter College, near Madison Ave. and East 83rd Street.
Before being stopped at the East 79th Street Transverse in Central Park, the group made a northbound journey on Fifth Avenue, blocking prospects along the way.
