Israeli authorities said Monday that Biden administration officers had quietly worked with intermediaries, without Israel’s knowledge, to create a Hamas “agreement” to agreement terms in an attempt to hinder an assault on Hamas in Rafah.
On Monday, as Breitbart News reported, with Israel beginning its activity in Rafah by warning residents to depart, Hamas immediately announced that it agreed to a “ceasefire” — on new conditions that Israel had never actually offered.
Israel, regarding the move as a mountain aimed at the global media in an attempt to force Israel to leave the operation, decided to send young- level diplomats to Cairo, Egypt, to observe talks, while continuing to fight in Rafah.
The White House seized on the announcement of an agreement by Hamas, though it would not say ( or speculate ) what was in the agreement itself, puzzling reporters.
Barak Ravid of Axios.com reported , (original emphasis ):
Israeli officials claim that the Biden administration was aware of the latest hostage- and ceasefire agreement Egypt and Qatar reached with Hamas but did n’t inform Israel until it made its announcement on Monday. A top U.S. established rebuffed the claim that” American diplomats have had discussions with Israeli counterparts.” There have been no scares”.

The authorities said when they read Hamas ‘ response that “many new parts” were included in the previous proposal that Israel approved and that the United States, Egypt, and Qatar presented to Hamas ten days before.
…
The leaders claimed that CIA director Bill Burns and other Trump administration officials were aware of the new plan but kept quiet about it.
The Times of Israel after confirmed Ravid’s monitoring in Politico.
For months, the Biden administration has publicly opposed an Israeli assault on Rafah, claiming to protect citizens but also considering Hamas as a means of compulsion to convince Israel to take a two-state solution as the result of the conflict.
Israel’s refusal to agree to end the war and Hamas ‘ efforts to have lifeless bodies counted toward the 33 hostages that will be freed in the first stage of a truce are the two sticking points in the peace and prisoner negotiations.
On Tuesday, Israeli official David Mencer said he would not comment on these accounts. But, he said Hamas’s state had been one of desperation. ” What you saw last night was Hamas trying to save its skin, but it wo n’t work”.
