On Saturday, Disney’s Lucasfilm released” Star Wars: Legends of the Empire”, an anthology series highlighting different personalities from across the Star Wars universe. While the show is clearly marketed to children, that did n’t stop showrunners from featuring a character using” they/them” pronouns.
In one of the incidents, the Galactic Empire sends two force-wielding dark-siders to search for a Jedi who was discovered in a remote earth. One of the Inquisitors inquires about the location of the Jedi after arriving on Earth and asking a young child. The boy later tells her that there are more than one Jedi lying in the hills.
After the two Inquisitors make their way to the top of the hills, they encounter a single Jedi — and the movie’s artists make it very clear that this Jedi uses” they/them” nouns.
” They’re still alive”, one of the Inquisitors says after her partner stabbed the Jedi in the back. They must be transported to the deliver, we say. We can keep them”.
Parents who are concerned that their children will be exposed to radical gender ideology should be aware that” Tales of the Empire” is n’t the only Star Wars program that tries to advance these ideas. According to No the Bee, Lucasfilm’s upcoming” Star Wars: The Acolyte” set is packed with Transgender- identifying actors, like as Amandla Stenberg,” who is queer, non- linear and uses she/her and they/them pronouns”.
The program’s showrunner, Leslye Headland— who identifies as a “queer woman”— told media in 2021 that her experiences may be reflected in the show and, as described by Game Rant, “believes her queerness may come through in the show, yet if it happens to be on a subliminal level”.
“]T] here’s simply no way that me being a homosexual person is not going to get reflected in my work”, Headland said. It’s worth mentioning that Headland’s partner, actress Rebecca Henderson, has a featured role in” The Acolyte”.
The deceit of CEO Bob Iger, who claimed at the company’s annual shareholder conference last month that Disney’s twirl with political activism and ingraining leftist ideology into its articles, has been over, is further exposed by Lucasfilm’s shoehorning of LGBT lunacy into courses designed for kids.
Iger said,” I’ve always believed that we have a responsibility to do good in the world, but we know our job is n’t to advance any kind of agenda.” ” For as long as I’m in the job, I’m going to continue to be guided by a sense of decency and respect, and we’ll always trust our instincts”.
Our job is to “entertain, first and foremost”, he added.
Disney’s embrace of left- wing identity politics has not gone unnoticed by parents. The House of Mouse lost nearly$ 1 billion “on its last eight feature films, some of which feature well-known “woke” characters,” according to the New York Post in July 2023. Disney has continued to double down, even criticizing fans for the company’s failed projects, rather than acknowledge the damage leftist ideology has had to its brand.
