Elon Musk’s Tesla, the leading electronic automobile company, has slashed yet more staff from the pay following weeks of massive layoffs, leaving employees on top and seeking closing.
According to Business Insider, Tesla has been putting people on cuts for the past four weeks. People are uncertain about their future with the business as a result of the most recent round of reductions, which took place on Sunday evening. Four employees reported to Business Insider that their professionals informed their team of further layoffs on Monday night, while some Tesla employees went on LinkedIn to share their experiences with downsizing finds over the weekend.
Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, announced on April 14 that the company may be reducing more than 10 % of its workforce as a result of “duplication of jobs and job functions in some locations.” Within days of the note, the business began to inform the fired employees. Some staff, however, did not realize that their position had been revoked until they attempted to flag into a Tesla factory.

Since then, the labor decreases have hit diverse teams across the business, including recruiters, advertising, and Tesla’s Supercharging group. Employees are enthralled by the constant wave of job notices, with several seeking employment elsewhere. One recent Tesla employer, who requested secrecy, told Business Insider,” I keep waiting for Elon to deliver another message and tell us they’re suddenly done fire people. We require some closure or a sign that we can stop worrying about losing our jobs.
Tesla is experiencing a slower decline in demand for its electric vehicles at the time of the layoffs. The carmaker reported lower-than-expected delivery rates in April, which may have led to the decision to reduce the workforce. According to reports, Musk reportedly told executives last week that the business needed to become “absolutely hard core about headcount.”
At least six executives have left the company in the last month in addition to the layoffs. Two executives resigned from Tesla on the same day that the company announced its initial round of hiring. On X ( previously Twitter ), Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development Rohan Patel and Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development ( formerly Twitter ) announced their departures. Patel claimed to have made the decision to leave because of significant “overall changes” at Tesla. The reshuffling has left Musk overseeing 35 direct reports, according to a report from the Information.
