Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) feels safe insulting conservatives in his own party because Democrat leadership’s promise to save his speakership makes him feel so assured.
The Speaker, who complained earlier in the day that he is not getting , “enough rest these time”, has revealed little about the traditional expectations that he retreated from his coalition state with Democrats , — although facts have leaked.
However, Johnson appeared to let the schlep when a reporter asked about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-LA )’s request to receive a response soon regarding the implementation of their suggested accountability measures on Tuesday night.
Johnson sneered disparagingly to cameras laughing before biting his lip to exude laugh.

” Appearance, um, we’re gonna approach these tips just like we do all thoughts and all suggestions from people and , — this is not a negotiation”, he said. ” I’m doing my work, and part of the job is taking ideas and intelligent thoughts from people, and that’s what we’re doing”.
On Monday, Greene and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY ) met with Johnson to discuss a number of accountability measures to prevent the Speaker from advancing a plan that Republicans opposed. Two established advertising sources received early on Tuesday with details of the meeting on Monday.
Prior to the leaking, Greene and Massie had remained mum since leaving Johnson’s business.

Although the way that appeared constrained, the two liberals insisted they had offered Johnson a path that would allow him to” come home” from the Republican Party.
Johnson does have revealed the unwalkable way by continuing to make the suggestion that his discussions are only sporadic and dropping the veil Tuesday evening.
