Judge Juan Merchan lost control of the courtroom during Stormy Daniels ‘ evidence at former president Donald Trump’s New York business documents trial, according to Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley, who appeared on Fox News ‘ America Reports on Tuesday.
Turley said:
You know, the statement of the judge, that he’s surprised there is n’t a higher number of objections from the defense is baffling. She was put on the walk, but the security objected. They finally objected to the context of the doubting, and now the prosecutor sounds like Claude Rains saying I’m shocked, shocked there’s a movie star in my court. Well, you know, if you give a lot of opportunity to evidence, what did you expect? The judge’s choice of testimony is completely unwanted, which is where the issue is. It is undisputed that there’s an NDA, whether what happened in their marriage, if there was one, is immaterial to how those obligations were denoted by the Trump plan.
He continued:
So the judge had the opportunity , frequently to say we are not , going to take this courtroom , through information of this , marriage. If you want to create a , marriage occurred, do so. Establish the dates, it ‘s , likely those facts could ‘ve , been been stipulated to. So the prosecution wanted to get , salacious details up. This is a form of punishment. They are trying to apply a witness , for punishing purposes and in my , see, political reasons, and , this is what happens. It happened because the judge , lost power of his court.
John Roberts said,” There seems to be no , discussion, Jonathan, that this , was only to create Trump seem like , a terrible guy”.
Turley said,” You know, you really ca n’t have  , this cat walk backward. The prosecutor knows that, the , lawyers know that, but what , the lawyers are arguing these  , is totally ridiculous”.
