According to reports in numerous American and Israeli news outlets this week, the Israeli government is declining to confirm or refute claims that the Biden administration is withholding weapons from the Israel Defense Forces ( IDF).
As Breitbart News has noted, many media outlets have confirmed that the U. S. is withholding 3, 500 weapons from Israel, including 500- and 2, 000- ounce explosives.
Avy Hyman, a spokesman for the Israeli government, claimed he had seen “reports coming out from unknown sources on the British side” but added that” I do not have anything to put on these reviews.”
Earlier this month, Israel had not even acknowledged the information.
Regardless of the Jewish offensive in Rafah, Hyman added that Israel continued to support the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. ” Despite their best efforts, both Kerem Shalom, and the Erez Crossing, which was destroyed by Hamas on October 7, are open”, Hyman said, noting that these were only two of the nine access points for charitable assistance to provide Gaza.
He added that Israel continued to receive information of support” sitting” on the Gaza side of the border, taxable.
Hyman noted that the Israeli army was operating in” special regions” of northeast Rafah. He claimed that Hamas may not be able to smuggle arms into the Gaza Strip under Israeli power of the Rafah cross, which the IDF took on Monday.
He even reiterated Israel’s objectives:” Our war aims remain the same, damage Hamas, bring home the victims, and ensure that Gaza no longer poses a menace to Israel”.
Hyman acknowledged that Israeli influence in hostage negotiations has increased as a result of Hamas ‘ claim that it would accept a ceasefire. He also remarked about the Israeli control of the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphi route along Gaza’s border with Egypt.
” We will continue to keep up the military pressure on Hamas”, he said, adding that” ]w ] e needed both the military pressure and the diplomatic channel” to achieve November’s hostage deal.
According to Hyman,” we can see that they feel” military pressure, while mentioning that Israel hoped and prayed for progress on a deal “within a framework that is acceptable to Israel.” There is no reason to talk about ending the war and keeping Hamas in power, of course.
