On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s” The Story”, Biden Campaign Surrogate Rep. Ro Khanna ( D- CA ) stated that even though there are between 20, 000 and 30, 000 Hamas terrorists still in Rafah, they ca n’t repeat October 7 “according to the military that I get briefed on”, and so President Joe Biden is saying that a diplomatic solution is what will work.
Host Martha MacCallum asked,” But, you heard the President only this afternoon, and a lot of people were asking for this kind of extremely strong statement on hatred, and he blamed it on Hamas, firmly, what happened on October 7, and but, he’s pushing Israel for a peace. What, in his opinion, does happen to Hamas ‘ remaining troops? If they follow his instructions, wo n’t they just rise up and repeat October 7?
Khanna answered,” Well, the President was very apparent to condemn, firmly, the Hamas October 7 problems, to talk about the physical violence, and I appreciate that he did that. The reality is that Netanyahu has already destroyed a lot of the Hamas troops, they are incapable, according to the defense that I get briefed on, to do October 7 again. And there are 20- 30, 000 Hamas soldiers also there. Yet if Netanyahu gets his way of going into Rafah, it’s just impossible to be able to remove all 20- 30, 000 of those soldiers. Therefore, the President asserts that a diplomatic solution that involves our Gulf allies, Egypt, Jordan, and a solution is possible, and that you wo n’t be able to bomb your way into it.
