After Democrats made sure the hand remained in his arms on Wednesday night, House Speaker Mike Johnson complained about the House’s “frivolous figure death.”

Johnson was saved by 163 Democrats who voted to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ( R- GA ) movement to abandon Johnson from the chair–effectively blocking a ballot on whether to remove him from the senate.
Majority Leader Steve Scalise ( R- LA ) moved to board Greene’s movement immediately after she triggered it, as Breitbart News’s Bradley Jaye noted:
Jeffries and his management team had promised to deliver the votes needed to keep Johnson, but that commitment did not go beyond the first tabling vote. Greene, her lover Rep. Thomas Massie ( R- KY), or any other Republican may force another vote, a prospect Democrats have certainly tipped their hand as to how they would react.
Ten Republicans who did not cast ballots were included in the ultimate vote total of 359 to 43. The powerful motion was defeated by eleven daring GOP members:
