CNN host Jake Tapper said Wednesday on his show” The Lead” that , Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ( R- GA ) motion to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson ( R- LA ) was killed like Gov. Kristi Noem’s ( R- SD ) dog Cricket, referencing Noem’s fresh text” No Going Back”, in which the government tells the story of shooting her 14- fortnight- older dog.
Discussing the vote called by Green, Rep. Mike Lawler ( R- NY ) said,” This whole episode, this little tantrum of hers, is absurd and it does nothing to advance the conservative movement. The only thing it does is destroy the House Republican majority, which the American people chose because they were unable to work as a meeting or as a team to give the speech the most influence in negotiations.
Cutting to the House floor, Tapper said,” These we go”.
After the activity failed, Tapper said,” So that is the demise of Marjorie Taylor Greene’s movement to depart. The movement to board was actually Kristi Noem striking Cricket with a gun, as suggested by Congressman Steve Scalise. It’s the demise of that work”.
He questioned,” Why do you think she moved to make the movement to leave now, when she has been trying to talk to Speaker Johnson this trip for hours and hours?” And while they obviously share some views, his majority is still considerable given that some people do n’t take themselves seriously when it comes to governing and actually getting things done.
According to Lawler,” They would instead just getting consideration for acting out and throwing temper tantrums,” which is a problem with Congress. Members of both parties of the aisle are more focused on conspiracies and absurd social games than on actual government job.
