The majority of Americans believe the governor of South Dakota. Kristi Noem’s activities as revealed in her upcoming text — shooting the dog she “hated” in the head , — were “unacceptable”, according to the latest poll from the Economist/YouGov.
Noem has faced harsh criticism after it was revealed in her book that she shot her 14-month-old house puppy in the mind.
” Cricket was a wirehair marker, about 14 months aged”, Noem wrote, describing the puppy as one with an “aggressive personality”. She claimed that she intended to teach the baseball bird to hunt so that it would become less agitated. According to Noem, the puppy went “out of her head with pleasure, chasing all those animals and having the time of her life”. After that, Noem stopped to see a neighbor and claims Cricket ravaged her neighbor’s chickens, “grabb]ing ] one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another”. When Norm attempted to stop the assault, the canine “whipped around to bite me,” and Norm claimed that she had been forced to end the dog’s life.
Most Americans disagree with how she handled it despite her efforts to defend her deeds and portray it as a perfect example of her ability to “never” go commitments to “anyone more.”
Interviewees who had heard about Noem killing her puppy had a voice in the survey, who responded with “unacceptable” responses. Just 15 percent perceive it as “acceptable”, and 18 percent remain uncertain.
Additionally, a variety of Republicans, 37 percent, along with a lot of centrists and Democrats — 66 percent and 89 pct, both — , describe her activities as “unacceptable”.
The poll was taken May 5- 7, 2024, among 1, 813 grownup people.
Noem has continued to defend her determination, describing the puppy as “extremely dangerous”.
