Andy Cohen, the executive producer of Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise, said,” It ‘s , hurtful. It’s a scandal involving former Bravo stars who are allegedly bringing allegations and filing lawsuits over alleged sex abuse on set.” But I have no worries about the way I’ve handled anything”.
” I’m very proud of the adjacent relationships I’ve developed over the course of my 20 years at the system. I’m very proud of what we’ve built and of anyone who’s been a part of it”, Cohen told Hollywood Reporter after being asked if he “felt hurt , by some of the condemnation” he has  , received or if he has “any worries” about how he handled everything.
The Bravo host continued,” I think most of the people who have been on these programs have been very appreciative of the program, but there will always be some complainers.” ” Obviously, it’s no fun to be a goal. But, yes, it’s harsh. But I have no worries about the method I’ve handled anything”.
Cohen continued,” I believe that everything that happens in your life informs what transpires in your life.”
” That’s the way I look at all this”, he said. ” I know the truth, I know how I’ve handled myself, and I walk high on that,” I say.
Elsewhere in the interview, Cohen noted that a lot has changed in the 18 years he has been a producer of , Real Housewives, saying,” We are living in an , outrage culture now” and that people” ca n’t say” the same things they were able to say on television in 2009.
Producing a show about socially wrong people in 2024 is different from doing it in 2009, Cohen said. We left it in the present and discussed it at the meeting episode in 2009 when one of the children called his nephew a homosexual.
” That was how two boys talked to each other in 2009, and we saw it as a training time”, the Bravo number explained. ” In 2024, you may soon burp that term, and it would cause a full furor”.
” Today, someone on the show would probably say,’ You ca n’t say that word anymore.’ And then the people may go crazy on Twitter”, Cohen said. Over time, sensitivity has changed. Social media has a huge impact. There’s not a lot of room for nuance these time”.
” We are living in an anger society now, and everyone has had to adjust to that”, he added.
According to a report from Breitbart News, Leah McSweeney, the architect behind Real Housewives of New York City, filed a lawsuit alleging Cohen to promote drug abuse and illicit alcohol.
Previous Real Housewives of Beverly Hills celebrity Brandi Glanville, however, accused the Bravo host of sending her an improper video that included a proposal to see him had sex in 2022, to which , Cohen apologized, saying his sex- viewing proposal was “meant in jest”.
