
Before the couple, one of whom is an Christian preacher, were stopped by security personnel, two climate activists, 82 and 85, smashed sections of the reinforced event in the American Library in London on Friday.
Reverend Dr. Sue Parfitt ( 82 ) held a chisel over the case while Judy Bruce ( 85 ) repeatedly struck it with a lump hammer in a video clip posted by Just Stop Oil on social media. The government is then accused of breaking the law, Parfitt then raised a banner.
The historic document was not damaged, according to the library.

In the video clip, Parfitt could be heard saying,” As a Christian I feel compelled to do everything that I can to alleviate the appalling suffering that is already coming down the line.”
Later, the Metropolitan Police announced that two people had been detained on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with the incident.
