Kiev, Ukraine ( AP )- According to authorities, thousands more residents have fled Russia’s renewed ground rude, which has targeted towns and villages with a barrage of cement and artillery fire in the east of Ukraine.
At least one Russian system retreated from the Kharkiv region as a result of the fierce fighting that has resulted in more land being surrendered to Russian forces along the so-called “gray zone” along the Russian border.
However, a 10- account apartment block collapsed in the Soviet city of Belgorod, near the border, with numerous deaths and injuries reported. Following Ukrainian shelling, Soviet government claimed the building to have collapsed. Ukraine has never commented on the event.
At least 4, 000 residents have fled the Kharkiv region since Friday, when Moscow’s makes launched the activity, Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said in a social media speech. He claimed that Russian forces had attacked 27 towns in the past 24 hrs during a tense Sunday battle along the east front line.
According to experts, the Russian force is intended to evade the supply of promised Western weapons before it can start shipping them. Soldiers in Ukraine claimed that the Kremlin is launching overwhelming amounts of flames and infantry assaults to elude their troops and firepower, a typical Russian tactic.
It comes after Russia increased its attacks on towns and energy facilities in March, which analysts believed Moscow made as part of a conscious effort to create the problems for an offensive.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, stated that stopping Russia’s offensive in the area was top of the list and that Kyiv’s forces were conducting counteroffensive activities in seven villages in the Kharkiv place.
Our top priority right now is to disrupt Russian offensive objectives. Whether we succeed in that process depends on every man, every lieutenant, every commander”, Zelenskyy said.

Five villages on the borders of Russia’s Kharkiv region and Ukraine have been taken over by Moscow’s troops, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday. Due to the intense fighting and regular heavy shelling, which helped a Russian advance, these areas were probably badly fortified.
Ukraine’s administration has no confirmed Moscow’s benefits.
A Russian system claimed that Russian forces had taken control of at least one more village late on Saturday and that some villages had been forced to retreat.
In a video Saturday night, the Hostri Kartuzy system, part of the special forces ‘ separation of Ukraine´s national watch, said that they were fighting for control of the town of Hlyboke.
” Today, during large fighting, our soldiers were forced to withdraw from a few more of their jobs, and now, another lawsuit has come entirely under Soviet control. As of 20: 00, fighting for the town of Hlyboke is ongoing”, the soldiers said in the picture.
The Institute for the Study of War in the United States stated on Saturday that it believed geolocated footage showed that Russian troops had taken control of Morokhovets and Oliinykove, and that claims that Moscow had taken control of Strilecha, Pylna, Pletenivka, and Borsivika were correct. It described the new Russian increases as “tactically important”.
Russia made a poor attempt to flood Kharkiv in the beginning of the conflict, but it retreated from its suburbs after about a fortnight. In the fall of 2022, seven months later, Ukraine’s military pushed them out of Kharkiv. The brave assault persuaded European nations that Ukraine was capable of capturing Russia’s military support in the war effort.
