
Moscow’s Belgorod border area on Sunday saw a partial collapse of an apartment block. Authorities put the blame on Ukrainian shooting, citing casualties. Rescuers fled the scene when a portion of the roofing crashed to the ground while searching for survivors among the relics of the property’s stair on online images.
In a speech, Russia’s Investigative Committee, the country’s leading law enforcement agency, said that the 10- account wall had been hit by Ukrainian shooting. No further information was provided, but it claimed that among the dust there were both dead and injured.
At least 17 people were hurt in the decline, according to the Russian Health Ministry. There were also rescue procedures in progress.
On Sunday night, the Belgorod area was the subject of repeated air raid emails. Belgorod town also came under fire Saturday night, killing one people and injuring 29 more, said regional Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Since May 2023, robots have regularly attacked towns in western Russia, with Russian authorities blaming Kyiv. Officials in Ukraine rarely accept responsibility for strikes on Crimean Peninsula or Russian territory.
The Belgorod place, on Russia’s eastern borders, has been the target of a large number of attacks. Although most combination- boundary shelling is seen in remote areas, attacks have also been seen on the country’s capital. 25 people were killed when shooting struck Belgorod City in December 2023, prompting officials to begin erecting public shelters.
