The state’s top election official announced Tuesday that Ohio is introducing extra measures to prevent foreigners from casting ballots in primaries.
According to an office media transfer, LaRose, a Republican, issued a policy to the state’s 88 state boards of elections “initiating a assurance and treatment process of non- citizens from the state’s voter registration rolls”. As required by state law, LaRose’s company will also be taking steps to” carry an annual assessment of the nationwide voting registration database to identify individuals who appear not to be United States citizens.”
Secretary of State Frank LaRose stated in a statement that it is my legal obligation to uphold the law, and the government has specifically assigned me to make sure that only eligible people may register and cast ballots.
More than three- quarters ( 76.9 percent ) of Ohio voters passed a constitutional amendment proposal during the 2022 midterms stipulating “only” U. S. citizens can vote in state and local elections.

According to LaRose’s office, a recent review of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles ( BMV) identification records obtained by the Secretary of State’s Public Integrity Division and the Office of Data Analytics and Archives revealed 137 voter registrations that had been “assigned to Ohio residents who have twice confirmed their non-citizenship status to the BMV.” Before the secretary of state you begin the removal process, the person must first submit information to the BMV indicating that he is not a member of Ohio, once before and after after he votes or registers to voting.
The secretary of state’s office will issue up to two notices to individuals who are possible noncitizens under this law, instructing them to either confirm their citizenship in the United States or turn in a completed voter registration revocation form to the secretary of state. The secretary of state may be asked to refer the matter to the solicitor general for further research and possible prosecution if the response is not received” no later than thirty days after the next see is sent.”
Other measures that were announced on Tuesday include requests to the Biden administration for access to citizenship information from a number of federal agencies, LaRose’s office claims will assist in identifying potential noncitizens on Ohio’s voter rolls. LaRose requested access to” citizenship-identifying records” from the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security databases as well as” a resource used to verify citizenship status” known as the SAVE database.
LaRose’s office also requests access to federal district court records that reveal individuals who have been disqualified from serving on jury due to a lack of American citizenship.
In light of President Biden’s manufactured invasion at the U.S. southern border and growing concerns that foreigners could use existing election loopholes to influence America’s electoral system, the decision to ensure only U.S. citizens are voting in Ohio elections comes as a result. Legacy media generally dismisses the issue of noncitizens checking out state voter rolls and casting ballots in American elections as a given.
A new report by the Public Interest Legal Foundation ( PILF), for example, disclosed data from Boston, Massachusetts, showing 70 voter registrations were recently canceled due to a lack of U. S. citizenship. Of those 70 canceled records, 22 had” known histories of voting”. Despite the fact that he is a “green card holder and not a citizen,” one of the individuals named in the report revealed that the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles had authorized him to vote.
Massachusetts is one of the few states with automatic voter registration, where citizens are registered with state-level organizations like the Department of Motor Vehicles. AVR has produced inflated ( and inaccurate ) voter rolls in states where it has been implemented, and it is frequently used by left-wing organizations to bolster Democrats ‘ electoral prospects.
Prior PILF reports revealed the widespread number of noncitizens on Arizona voter rolls. The group revealed in February that 186 foreigners who had been “involved purged” from the Grand Canyon State’s voter registration lists since 2021. A , separate PILF report , released last year found that 222 residents of Maricopa County, Arizona had been removed from voter rolls since 2015 for being foreign nationals.
In states like Maryland and California, Democrat-led cities  have recently adopted laws that allow noncitizens to cast ballots in their municipal elections. Moreover, Washington, D. C. passed legislation in recent years granting foreign nationals the ability to vote in the district’s local elections.
