Accomplish non- citizens voting in U. S. votes?
The truth, of course, is yes, they do. The co-host Eric Eggers, whose 2018 text FRAUD examined the story and several ways that election fraud has occurred in U.S. votes generally, is the subject of the most recent season of The Drill Down.
A recent academic research based on surveys conducted for the Joint Congressional Election Studies found evidence that non-citizens are casting important ballots in our elections. As many as 13 % of the non-citizens surveyed really cast ballots, and 27 percent were registered to vote.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) responded by introducing legislation that requires proof of citizenship before casting a ballot.
According to Peter Schweizer and Eggers, the possible pool of illegal citizens rises between 1 million and 2.7 million vote as a result of the flow of illegal immigrants ( an estimated 16 million since President Joe Biden took office ).
The issue is that in many states, proof of citizenship is not necessary, unless the voter proves on sheet that they are U.S. citizens. The new law would demand that evidence be presented at the time of enrollment. A further issue is that state registrars do not even have access to a national database that would verify voter registration status and citizenship, and that advocacy efforts to do so do n’t require them to do so either.
In addition, a study conducted in the voter rolls of 32 states was included in Eggers ‘ book, which, for example, demonstrated through cross-referencing that more than 4, 000 votes were cast by voters in two different states in the same election.
Election morality issues were brought up during the 2020 election when several says relaxed their mail-in voting laws as a result of the COVID crisis, which made confirmation procedures even more challenging.
The Biden administration’s usage of governmental headquarters in key swing state to hold voter registration drives among the people who elect them has been covered by The Drill Down. Election dignity advocates like Catherine Engelbrecht of” Genuine the Vote,” whose organization has even found fault with voter registration schemes, have also been welcomed by Peter and Eric.
In their efforts to encourage voter registration, Eggers points out that Tom Perez, a political activist who previously led a group called” Casa Maryland,” has been a key figure in the Biden administration’s campaign.
Schweizer and Eggers close the show with a list of probable measures that would render voting more safe, reliable, and honest.
- A federal databases where states send their voting roll data must be cross-referenced must exist.
- Local election authorities should be able to access citizen information.
- As some states have permitted with so-called Motor Voter laws, ease of voter registration should n’t prevent immigrant non-citizens from registering.
