After bowing to woken critics and canceling its once-popular style show, lingerie model Victoria’s Secret is returning with splendor and its renowned angel wings.
The business announced on Instagram that it had “heard” the requests for a return to its extensive runway show generation.
” We’ve read the comments and heard you. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and may reflect who we are currently, plus anything you know and love—the beauty, airport, arms, music entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here”, the company wrote.
The fashion show was an annual mainstay from 1995 to 2018, and featured some of the world’s top models, including Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, Claudia Schiffer, and Tyra Banks, InStyle reported.
However, in 2019, the fashion brand canceled the show after facing a wave of woke critics and left- wing activists.
Executives for Victoria’s Secret at the time claimed that they had changed the brand’s message after the Left criticised them for failing to feature transgender and plus-size models.
It’s possible that the show will feature transgender and many plus-sized models in the wake of this week’s tease of the return and its message that the show” will reflect who we are today.”
Indeed, the company started featuring transgender models in print and online ads the year it abruptly ended its annual fashion show.
The company reported that the updated vamp show is scheduled for sometime this fall.
