Rep. Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez ( D- NY ) criticized Sen. John Fetterman ( D- PA ) after the senator made fun of her argument with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ( R- GA ) during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing.
Fetterman wrote in a blog on X that he had “described” the House of Representatives as the Jerry Springer Show, adding that he was “apologizing” to the present for the contrast.
” In the past, I’ve described the U. S. House as The Jerry Springer Show”, Fetterman wrote. ” Currently, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show”.

In response to Fetterman’s opinion, Ocasio- Cortez slammed the Pennsylvania lawmaker for seeming” to get confused about racism and misogyny” and added that she stands “up to jerks, instead of becoming one”.
Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a post on X that she thought” I understand you probably would n’t have stood up for your colleague and seem uneasy about racism and misogyny being a “both sides ‘” issue. ” But I stand up to jerks, instead of becoming one. And to the people of Pennsylvania: I’d have up for you too. Like your Friday”.
I am aware that you likely would n’t have supported your colleague and that you do n’t understand why racism and misogyny are a “both sides” issue.

During the House Oversight Hearing on Thursday, when House members gathered to discuss a solution that would declare Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress, Ocasio-Cortez and Greene engaged in heated change.
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY ) and her Democrat colleagues on the committee questioned whether any of her Democrat colleagues were also employing Merchan’s daughter. Greene pointed out that the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing former president Donald Trump’s business records trial, was employed by her.
” Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland”, Rep. Jasmine Crockett ( D- TX ) said during the hearing.
” Oh, Goldman. That’s correctly. He’s advising”, Greene added to which Crockett questioned Greene’s opinions, asking her if she knew why she was at the receiving.

” I do n’t think you know what you’re here for”, Greene added, commenting on Crockett wearing “fake eyelashes”.
Ocasio-Cortez jumped in Crockett’s defense and demanded that Greene’s thoughts be removed after making this comment.
” That is definitely unacceptable”, Ocasio- Cortez continued. How dare you criticize another person’s natural appearance?
” Are your thoughts damage”? Greene shot again. ” Awww”.

Ocasio- Cortez responded with,” Oh woman, infant girl”.
” Oh definitely”? Greene responded.
This led Ocasio- Cortez to listen,” Do n’t yet enjoy, child girl”.
” Baby woman? I do n’t think so”, Greene added.
After on, Greene was asked if she wanted to strike her thoughts, which she ended up doing. Once more, Ocasio-Cortez spoke up and demanded that Greene regret.
” Why do n’t you debate me”? Greene questioned, to which Ocasio- Cortez pointed out that it was “pretty self- visible”.
Greene shot back,” Yeah, you do n’t have enough intelligence”.
