As Israel launches its assault on Hamas troops in southwestern Gaza, 800, 000 Palestinians have left the town of Rafah, according to the United Nations, on Saturday.
The controversial United Nations Relief and Works Agency ( UNRWA ), led by Commissioner-general Philippe Lazzarini, announced the number of evacuees and issued a warning about the dangers they face.
Almost half of Rafah’s 800, 000 residents have been forced to flee since the Israeli Forces launched the military activity there on May 6th, and 800, 000 are still on the road.

The number of residents far exceeds the quotes that were discussed in advance of the Jewish activity, which began on May 6, amid U. S. criticism.
A Rafah assault, according to the Biden administration, could result in deaths there for the civilians.
That seems less probable, with a big part of the town’s residents leaving. However, some of those on the road will have access to basic service, and not all of them have encamped in” healthy” areas such as the Al- Muwasi humanitarian area.
Israel says that defeating Hamas in Rafah is crucial to success in the battle against the evil firm, which attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1, 200 individuals, most of them civilians.
Rafah is situated near the Iranian border in a strategic location. According to reports, Israel has already discovered about 50 cross-border caves that were used to bring weapons into Gaza from Egypt.
