Senator Chris Van Hollen ( D- MD) said Sunday on ABC’s” This Month” that at conversations, former President Donald Trump behaves like a” full jerk” who wants to make” carnival- like entertainment”.
Van Hollen said,” Well, we know Donald Trump. You just mentioned, you know, the drug tests. This is the man who was the – the birther member. He is not focused on issues that, you know, are important to the American citizens. He wants to create this sort of environment of a carnival- like entertainment”.
He continued,” But the decision will be very evident. I mean, you’ve got Joe Biden. He’s the man who grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He battles for the middle category. He thinks that work is done with respect and decency. Donald Trump, representative of chaos, someone who’s running for revenge and someone who just said to a bunch of oil firm managers the other day, give – give me$ 1 billion for my plan, and I’ll give you everything you want”.
Van Hollen added,” I do not have concerns. There were people who, in fact, expressed concern for the State of the Union address. He came out swinging. He obviously sent the American people a very clear message. Look, it’s not about the age of the candidate. The candidate’s ideas about what they’re going to do for the American people going forward are what matter. Donald Trump is all about revenge. He’s all about the past. Joe Biden is about defending the rights of the American people and advancing a vision for the future.
He concluded”, You know, when Donald Trump is being a complete jerk, then I can understand the president of the United States, you know, responding and letting him know that’s what he thinks.”
