LOS ANGELES ( AP ) — Sean” Diddy” Combs admitted that he beat his ex- girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016 after CNN released video of the attack, saying in a video apology he was” truly sorry” and his actions were “inexcusable”.

The surveillance video, which aired on Friday, shows Combs punching and kicking R&, B song Cassie, who was his protégé and lifelong girlfriend at the time. Additionally, the video shows Combs dragging and shoving Cassie and hurling a bowl her way.

Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, sued Combs in November over what she said was decades of physical, physical, and mental abuse. The lawsuit was settled the following day, which prompted serious investigation into Combs, with additional claims filed in the coming months in addition to a national criminal sex-trafficking investigation that led to the attack of Combs ‘ mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.
He had denied the allegations in the claims, but neither he nor his team had responded to the newly released videos until Sunday.

Combs posted a speech on Instagram widely denying the allegations in December after Ventura and at least three different women filed complaints against him.
” Let me absolutely clear. I did not do any of the terrible things being alleged”, the article said.
The security cameras video from March 5, 2016, strongly resembles the outline of an event at an InterContinental Hotel in the Century City neighborhood of Los Angeles that was described in Ventura’ complaint.
Combs is alleged to have paid the motel$ 40,000 for the security video right away following the incident. He or his staff have not responded to that particular incident. CNN did not disclose how it got the video.
The lawsuit claimed Ventura had been attempting to escape a lying Combs, who had already punched her in the face before the picture began.
Combs is not in risk of facing a criminal charge for the beat. Years ago, the statutes of limitations on the assault and battery claims he was likely to encounter expired.
Similar to many of the claims made in the claims, but federal investigators looking into Combs are likely looking for potential offences they might provide against the law.
Ventura signed to Diddy’s logo in 2005. The two had a once-off-a-time loving relationship for more than ten years, beginning in 2007.
