When would-be pirates broke into her home, a Chicago resident called 911. She had to wait four days for police to arrive at the scene in Wicker Park.
The woman, who is identified as Michelle, told NBC Chicago she just left her door open at about 12: 30 p. m. to let her puppy outside when the affair happened, the channel reported , Wednesday.

The girl claimed she screamed and told police officers she was calling for help when she learned that a pair of concealed men had broken into her home. When did they leave the field?
Michelle claimed that when she called 911, she was informed that she needed assistance and that they had advised her to wait inside. She reportedly called 911 constantly before being connected with a supervisor, but she apparently waited for a long time.
She recalled that there was an awkward pause after a gentleman came on and apologized saying we had no models to give him. He even recommended , I call my aldermen and I said why — and he said motivate him to get more police. The controller even inquired if I would consider using a weapon to defend myself if I had one or thought about getting one.
Police officers arrived at the scene in more than four hours, and Michelle claimed they were understanding and remorseful about it taking so long to reach her.
WGN News reported in September that there has been an “exodus” of officers soldiers, adding that it has outlined numerous reports of police officers responding to calls in Chicago without responding.

According to the report, the town had 1, 600 fewer police officers than it did before the country and the world were swept up by the Taiwanese coronavirus pandemic.
A Chicago 911 operator named Keith Thornton made a statement about officers personnel in the 16th District in 2021.
” They’re not even there because the cars are lower when I’m getting language messages from officers telling me that they’re scared and frightened for their protection because they’re working alone and the beat next to them would usually back them up.” That’s a problem”, said Thornton.

Per the current NBC Chicago content, Chicago Police said,” The delay in getting officials to Michelle’s house may have been related to the priority list for regular dispatch calls for 911″, the outlet noted, adding that if no one’s life is being quickly threatened, leaders may consider the case lower goal.
Michelle and her alderman are awaiting a decision on the subject. The suspects in the case are reportedly still at large.
At least 21 people were shot and three of them died over the weekend in Chicago, according to Breitbart News on May 13.
