Representative Jasmine Crockett ( D- TX ) said Sunday on MSNBC’s” Velshi” that a “hit dog hollered” when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ( R- GA ) took a jab at her during a House Oversight Committee hearing earlier this week.
Crockett said,” I was so upset. We are constantly told that we must operate within the networks and allow them to function. Another illustration of how when it comes to seeking justice for someone who looks like me is how the program seems to have no idea what that looks like. And so completely, because she was what we call personalities, her words were stricken, and she was also expelled from commission for the rest of the night. But otherwise, that is not with the president did. The notion that I should really stay there and pretend to be on the farm and that neither of us have been properly elected members of Congress, and that I should just accept it. I did n’t retaliate by making a second, personal attack on her. I asked for clarity and a , hit puppy shouted”.
She continued,” I even took this as an opportunity to once more stretch on MAGA and let them know that I will always be smarter than you and that you can call me a La get any amount of money and release all the constant accusations against me, but she is no fit for me when it comes to intellect.”
Crockett added,” I refuse to be somebody’s carpet. And anyone who suggests that I should, I need you to look in the mirror and perhaps check yourself if you think it’s appropriate for her to say anything to me, and I’m supposed to play the part where she says,” Oh, okay, I know she did n’t really mean it or it was n’t really that bad or it’s more important that I just sit here and be docile.” That is not who I want to be.
