Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser ( D) is heading to Las Vegas for an “economic mission” after enjoying the Masters golf tournament in Georgia on the taxpayer’s dime.
Bowser will attend the International Council of Shopping Centers ( ICSC ) in an effort to attract retailers to the nation’s capital, according to the mayor’s website’s website on Friday.

” This economic mission is coordinated by the Washington, DC Economic Partnership ( WDCEP), which has organized the District’s presence at ICSC since 1999″, the announcement continued:
Mayor Bowser and the Partnership’s appearance at ICSC has resulted in major food stores and retail presenters opening new shops in DC, including Lidl, Wegmans, Whole Foods, Apple, Target, Burlington, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and others.
” We are aware that Washington residents in every region of Washington require excellent facilities. Discussions started at ICSC from the Lidl in Ward 7 to the Wegmans in Ward 3, according to Mayor Bowser. We have made good progress in closing luxury spaces thanks to initiatives like the Food Access Fund and the Neighborhood Prosperity Fund, but this trip will concentrate on filling those deficiencies and supporting the continued change of Downtown.
According to Breitbart News, Bowser used taxpayer funds to attend the Masters sport championship in Augusta, Georgia, in April.
