Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY ) criticized President Joe Biden for stopping a shipment of weapons to Israel in a speech to the Israeli parliament that the White House responded to.
White House spokeswoman Andrew Bates issued a statement in response to Stefanik’s talk, pointing , out that Biden had been” the first American leader” to go to Israel “during war day”, according to the Hill.
Bates added,” there has been no better companion to Israel” than Biden has been.
In his speech, Bates said,” He was the first American president to attend Israel during wartime — in the wake of the horrifying October 7th criminal attacks” and the first senator to command the U.S. military to defend Israel from an attack from a foreign nation.
Following the Biden administration’s decision to stop a sale of ammunition to Israel and after Biden stated in an interview with CNN that he would withdraw artillery and other weapons from Israel if they proceeded with the war of Rafah, the final redoubt for the U.S.-designated Islamic terror party Hamas, Stefanik’s talk comes weeks later.
During her talk to people of Israel’s legislature, also known as the Knesset Stefanik said:
I will support George Washington’s call for spiritual diversity and flexibility as long as I serve the American citizens. This includes eradicating antisemitism at home and providing the State of Israel with everything it needs without conditions in the name of complete victory in the face of bad.
The chants of America’s suicide are not dull gimmicks. They represent a guarantee that what transpired on October 7th, may occur in the United States without the elimination of Hamas and its ideology allies. And, it is the United States ‘ great pride and great responsibility to support Israel’s work. There is no justification for an American president to halt aid to Israel, as I have been evident at apartment and I will be obvious here. Support that was duly passed by the Congress. There is no justification for easing sanctions on Iran, offering a$ 6 billion ransom to the world’s top state sponsor of terror, or hiding out while our friends fight for their lives. No reason — full halt.
Stefanik continued to say that she had supported and sponsored “every estimate that Israel has brought before the US Congress.”
And, it’s because I have been a front-runner and partner to President Trump for years in his traditional support for Jewish independence and security, Stefanik continued. ” Including, moving the U. S. Embassy to its rightful place in Jerusalem”.
