Senator Richard Blumenthal ( D- CT)  , said Wednesday on MSNBC’s” All In” that , Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is “unfit to offer” and really recuse himself from scenarios involving former President Donald Trump while discussing information about an” Appeal to Heaven” symbol and an reversed U. S. flag flying at his apartments.
” I saw some of your comments about the upside down flag,” said anchor Chris Hayes. What do you think of this most recent tale about another right-wing flag soaring over another Alito residence?
Blumenthal said,” I wish I could say I was surprised, but I am not. Because this political statement, make no mistake, this flag is a political statement. It is part of a pattern. Donald Trump’s political support for a religious component of the Stop the Steel movement and for a theological perspective on how America should be run is in effect what this political statement represents. Which is acceptable for Speaker Johnson to fly outside of his office. He’s a politician. Above reproach and above politics, Supreme Court Justices are supposed to be.
He continued,” I am sad, really sad and shocked to report that Justice Alito is quickly demonstrating his unfitness to serve on the United States Supreme Court. At the very least, he must recuse himself from these cases that will be decided by the court whether or not Trump is held accountable.
