On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s” America’s Newsroom”, Rep. Pat Ryan ( D- NY ) said that the responsibility for the border begins with President Joe Biden and that while he’s starting to act,” It’s too slow”.
Ryan stated right away that” we need to increase our work, in a nonpartisan way.” This should not be political. It’s top of mind for my electorate. For over a year then — since morning one in Congress, I’ve called on the President, I’ve called on our government in New York, we’ve got to get our work together and, when in command, take command, secure the border and let’s move this bipartisan bill that’s been stalled”.
Co- number Bill Hemmer then asked,” Does n’t this come back to the President, right? When he entered the White House, he was the one who signed 70 professional purchases.
Ryan answered,” There is plenty of blame to go around these. For decades, we’ve failed to stop acting like politicians and really get patriots, actually come up to secure our frontier, a fundamental role of the state”.
Hemmer then sat down and said,” Would you acknowledge that the responsibility starts with him”
Ryan responded,” Well, yeah, I said it before, when in command, take command. I’ve said this formally. The President is in charge, and he needs to take more immediate action, and he is beginning to do that. It’s very slow”.
