According to health officials and Hamas advertising, Israeli forces launched flying and ground problems across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least 38 Palestinians. The Israeli army also engaged in close combat with Hamas-led extremists in areas of Rafah, a city in southern Gaza, according to Hamas advertising.
Residents claimed that Israeli tanks moved south of Rafah, veered off into Yibna, and then resumed operations in three eastern suburbs.
One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, described the situation saying,” The occupation ( Israeli forces ) is trying to move further to the west, they are on the edge of Yibna, which is densely populated. They did n’t invade it yet”.
” We hear black smoke coming away from the places where the army has invaded, and we hear bombs.” It was another very tricky evening”, he added.
Hunderte of hundreds of Palestinians are fleeing their homes as a result of the continuous Jewish assaults on Gaza’s northern and southern sides. The key points of entry for help have been slowed, increasing the likelihood of hunger.
Israel’s assault on Gaza came after a Hamas-led assault on southern Jewish communities on October 7 that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the capture of more than 250 victims, according to Israeli records. Since then, Israel’s rape in Gaza has claimed the lives of more than 35, 000 people, with hundreds more feared buried under the dust, as reported by Gaza health officials.
Israel contends that an attack on Rafah is essential to expel Hamas fighters who are thought to have been hiding it.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the spokesman for the Jewish war, stated in a statement that Hamas has been holding our captives in Rafah and that this is why our causes are maneuvering there. We’re doing this in a specific and focused manner.
By urging them to periodically leave to humanitarian places, we’re protecting Gazan residents in Rafah from acting as a layer of protection for Hamas. Thus far we have eliminated lots of Hamas extremists, exposed dozens of evil tunnels and destroyed large quantities of infrastructure”, he added.
Despite global pleas for restraint, UNRWA, the key UN firm in Gaza, estimated that more than 800,000 people have fled Rafah since Israel began its offensive in early May.
The Norwegian Refugee Council’s Emergency Response Leader in Gaza Suze van Meegan, highlighted the grave position, describing,” The town of Rafah is now comprised of three completely different worlds: the south is an archetypal battle zone, the middle is a ghost town, and the west is a crowded mass of people living in horrible conditions”.
Israeli forces also launched an increased ground offensive in Jabalia, where several residential areas have been destroyed, and hit Beit Hanoun, a town where Israel had previously declared major operations to be over.
Israel contends that Hamas must be reunited in these areas to stop its regrouping. According to a statement from the Israeli military, troops began conducting targeted raids in Beit Hanoun” to locate and strike terror infrastructure, both below and above the ground,” according to a statement from the Israeli military.
In Gaza City, a senior Hamas security official, Diaa Aldeen Al- Shurafa, was killed in an Israeli strike while touring residential districts, according to the interior ministry in Hamas- run Gaza. Three soldiers were killed in the fighting on Wednesday, according to an Israeli military report, raising the total number of soldiers killed since the Gaza incursions started on October 20 to 286.
