At the Cannes Film Festival, Kelly Rowland has revealed that she thinks it was a racist event after speaking out about the column she had with a security guard.
The singer, 43, was spotted speaking abusive terms with a feminine security guard outside the theater where Marcello Mio was playing.
Rowland, in a long, flowing, dark dress was seen putting her hand up towards the security guard who was trying to attempt Rowland to keep walking. No one made any sound of the face, but movie and still images reveal Rowland’s dissatisfaction with what the guard said or did.
Rowland has now suggested that because she did n’t “look like” the others on the red carpet, that the security staff were treating her differently.
” The lady knows what happened. I know what happened,’ she said. ‘ And, I have a barrier. And that’s it. I stick by those limitations. “, Rowland said, according to the Daily Mail.
Other women who did not quite look like me showed up on that carpet, and they did n’t get verbalized, kicked off, or told to leave, the singer continued.
A lip reader told The Mail that Rowland initially apologised for stepping on Rowlands ‘ long dress train, and that something else happened that caused Rowland to start acting strangely, prompting the singer to say,” Do n’t talk to me like that.”
According to an outsider, Rowland did not appreciate being told to move more quickly and that security staff were pretty insistent on the stars moving so as not to stymie the range of celebrities entering the theatre.
The insider claimed that Kelly was trying to ignore the persons who were assigned to helping celebrities walk the red carpet because they were being hostile. And finally Rowland finally fed up with the staff ‘ aggressive behavior.
In the confrontation with the guard, the former Desinty’s Child band member defiantly insisted that she has” a boundary” and that she” strung her own.”
Rowland has been vocal before. In 2020 she slammed folks for trying to” withdraw “others over their views, telling them to” prevent tryin’ to get God.”
” In this’ withdraw society ‘ we live in, I am SO pleased God NEVER canceled me, And I’m certain he could’ve several- a- times! ” the R&, B song wrote in an Instagram post.
