    India, US discuss opportunities to strengthen space cooperation

    NEW DELHI: India’s joint secretary for International Cooperation, Vishwesh Negi and the US acting assistant secretary of defence for space policy, Vipin Narang, discussed space cooperation opportunites during the second annual US- India Advanced Domains Defense Dialogue ( AD3 ) at the Pentagon in Washington, DC on Thursday.
    The dialogue furthers the collaboration between the US Secretary of Defense and the American minister of defense during the 2022 2+2 Governmental Dialogue, according to Commander Jessica Anderson, a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense. Dr. Narang and Mr. Negi discussed possible ways to improve space assistance during this year’s Dialogue and identified possible collaboration opportunities with US business.
    The Indian committee also spoke with representatives from the US Department of Defense’s different groups, including the Joint Commercial Operations Cell, and the US Space Command.
    Dr. Narang and Mr. Negi co-chaired the second US-India principal-level table discussion that looked at ways to improve cooperation in the area domain. They agreed to expand AD3 through ordinary working class conversations. The American government committee that was visiting also spoke with representatives from the US Department of Defense, including those from the Joint Commercial Operations Cell and US Space Command, Anderson said.
    In a split growth, the Indo-US combined working class, which is a part of the Defence Tech and Trade Initiative (DTTI), held a two-day meeting in New Delhi in April to strengthen the bilateral relationship in terms of defense cooperation. The conference, which took place on April 29 through April 30, aimed to draw on the individual talents of both countries to improve co-production and defense assistance.
    Brigadier General Joel W. Safranek and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff ( Plans ), Air Vice Marshal George Thomas, and other key figures held intensive discussions about strategic plans to strengthen bilateral defense ties.
    Indian Air Force, while sharing the details of the gathering, said”, On 29 and 30 Apr 24, the Indo- US shared working group under the Defence Tech &amp, Trade Initiative between# USA &amp,# India held a two- time match at New Delhi where Brig Gen Joel W Safranek, Director, AFSAC met Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit.”
    Brig Gen Joel W. Safranek, Director and Air Vice Marshal George Thomas, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff ( Plans ), and the group’s co-chairs discussed creative plans to draw on the strengths of both partner countries to increase defense collaboration and co-production. DTTI is a strategy developed in 2012 to strengthen diplomatic defense cooperation, with an emphasis on overcoming obstacles through partnership and joint research, it continued.
