MSNBC source Claire McCaskill said , Tuesday on ,” Morning Joe” that President Joe Biden’s “most significant purpose” was to get Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to retire.
According to McCaskill,” Isolating Israel is what Hamas wanted more than anything.” Additionally, they wished to attract more radical jihadists. When something happens, like what happened over the weekend when honest women and children were burned to death in a tent, it leads to the recruitment of more extreme terrorists in support of Hamas.
Co- network Willie Geist asked,” What is the leader to do if this continues? He talks about a red line, and there are some who have said in the last 24 hours, if this is n’t a red line, watching what these women and children went through in this camp, many of them killed, what is? How is Prime Minister Netanyahu currently being handled by the leader?
McCaskill said,” I think he’s been trying to do all of this up channel. But the most important purpose, I believe, for this administration right now is to get Netanyahu to retire. The far-right, who view the death of Gaza in all its forms, and of any Palestinians in Israel, as their aim, is holding onto Netanyahu’s hand. Their objective is quite intense. That’s how he is in authority. So if he supports them, he will no longer be in power because he wo n’t have the coalition he needs. But, in my opinion, Biden needs to keep trying to persuade others in the Israeli government to step up and try their hardest to remove Netanyahu from that location.
