Twenty Texans made it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s eligible round on Wednesday, with 15 of the participants making it to the quarterfinals. A winner will likely be announced around 9 p.m. CT after the opposition ends on Thursday night.

- Faizan Zaki: 12- year- ancient fifth student from Dallas
- Sriya Gomatam: 14- year- ancient eighth kid from Dallas
- Chioma Egbuonu: 14- year- ancient eighth kid from El Paso
- Tanya Kadaru: 13- year- ancient eighth kid from Fort Worth
- Ishika Varipilli: 13- year- ancient eighth kid from Houston
- Kirsten Tiffany Santos: 13- year- ancient seventh grader from Houston
- Vir Lagad: 11- season- aged five student from Houston
- Alejandro Martinez: 13- year- ancient eighth kid from Laredo
- Michael Tesfaye: 13- year- ancient eighth kid from Lubbock
- Caleb Giuoco: 13- year- ancient eighth kid from McAllen

The quarter- championships large began at 7 a. m. CT and runs through 12 p. m. Pet Wednesday. Texasans who are vying for a spot in the semifinals are:
