Authorities in Texas have identified a Mexican refugee who has been held as an international fugitive wanted for death.
Leo Acosta Sanchez, a fugitive murder suspect wanted by Interpol, was successfully apprehended on May 24 by the Splendora Police Department as a” who had been improperly residing in our state and country.”
During a “routine patrol,” local officers and Department of Homeland Security ( DHS) agents took Sanchez into custody after identifying her as a “wanted individual” ( ) during a “routine patrol ), according to officials.  ,
Officials conducted a traffic stop and arrested Sanchez” to face fees related to the alleged crimes committed” after quickly requesting storage.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) informed Fox News that Sanchez had been living in the United States without legal residency since August 2023.  ,
” Acosta entered the United States as a nonresident on Aug. 20, 2023, and violated the terms of her admission”, ICE said. She is reportedly in ICE guardianship while her immigration trials are being resolved.
Sanchez is accused of being an friend in the death of her partner, 27- year- ancient Fidel González, of the Hispanic municipality of Yanga, Veracruz.  ,
A female friend allegedly shot González outside his home on August 13, 2023, soon after he reportedly received a call from Sanchez telling him to leave.  ,
Four persons have now been arrested in connection to the death, including Sanchez. González’s household says three people involved in the case have yet to be arrested, including the guy who pulled the trigger.
Sanchez’s arrest was celebrated on social media, with many commenters on the Splendora Police Department’s Facebook post writing, “# JusticiaparaFidel” or” Justice for Fidel”.
