Gov. Eagle Pass’s new military base construction is almost complete, according to Greg Abbott (R-TX ).
Abbott made the announcement regarding the construction of the forward running center in February. Texas National Guard men, who have been manning the frontier hotspot since last year, will only be able to enter there. Abbott gave an update on the status of the base’s structure in a post on X, along with underwater footage.
” Building at the Forward Operating Base in Eagle Pass is nearing completion”, he said. ” Looking forward to greeting the men as they move on immediately.”
The picture showed houses, houses, cars, and other automobiles, all surrounded by a fence.
The bottom is set to hold 80 acres and home at least 1, 800 National Guard people. According to Abbott, the boundary guarding force’s use of force is intended to be improved.

At a press conference held in Eagle Pass in February, Abbott stated,” This will make it easier for a larger amount of Texas Military Department men to operate more effectively and properly.”  ,
The bottom supports Operation Lone Star, Texas’s effort to combat illegal immigration. More than half a million refugees have been apprehended by Texas troops since its initial launch in March 2021.
