Sen. Marco Rubio ( R- FL ) compared the Trump business records trial to the” sham trial” the old Soviet Union used against “political opponents”.
Rubio’s remarks came days after Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing original President Donald Trump’s test, gave the judge guidelines due to their discussion beginning. What Merchan said in his directions was the subject of a number of information that came out.
According to CNN, Merchan told jurors that “must be unequivocal if they find Trump innocent on each matter – on whether he committed the crime physically, in concert with others, or both.”
Some, such as John Roberts, the inc- outlet of America Reports on Fox News, and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley,  , reported Merchan said there was” no need to agree on what occurred. What crime made up the three alternatives, in their opinion, is up for debate. Therefore, this means that they could cut 4- 4- 4 and he will also treat them as unanimous”.
Rubio wrote in his article on X that the judge in the Trump case in NYC simply said that the jury should not choose a crime because they must all at least find one. And that includes offences that Trump was never even charged with, among those that one can choose from! This exact farce test is conducted against political opposition to the ruling program in the former Soviet Union.

The trials were” clearly staged events”, in which those accused of crimes had “admitted to being traitors and spies”, according to History .com.

The Trump trial has been characterized as a” sham” by a number of other Republican Party members, including former GOP 2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and OH senator J. D. Vance.
Ramaswamy and governor Ramaswamy gathered on May 14 to protest the Trump company information test. Doug Burgum ( R- ND), and Reps. Byron Donalds ( R- FL ) and Cory Mills ( R- FL ) to hold a press conference.
” This is a sham. This is not the United States of America. This is some second- level fruit republic”, Ramaswamy said during his statement. ” If this were happening in another country, we may be laughing at them as a sham democracy”.
Ramaswamy continued,” As a resident of America, I was ashamed to see what was happening in the test.”
