Former President Donald Trump’s judgment on 34 criminal counts is proof the American justice program is” no better than , Venezuela , or China”, according to Sen.  , Tommy Tuberville, R- Ala.
Alabama’s senior legislator, a staunch supporter of the former senator who , attended Trump’s test in , New York City,  , called the guilty verdict on the misleading company records counts” a very dark time in American history.
This” trial” was a political witch hunt right out of the gate, according to Tuerbville in a statement released shortly after the verdict.
He attacked , Manhattan , District Attorney , Alvin Bragg , as a” liberal advocate” and Judge , Juan Merchan , as a” Trump donation” with a” shared purpose” of putting Trump behind restaurants.
” Whether you consider the uneven judge, the gag order issued to solitude only , President Trump, the prosecution’s failure to describe the alleged actual crimes … this trial was a perfect joke and large misuse of taxpayer dollars,” the senator continued.
He claimed that the trial was “pure election interference” and that the American people would n’t be deceived by it.
” We ca n’t have a two- tier justice system,” Tuberville said”. If we do n’t return to our , Constitution, which guarantees every , U. S.  , citizen the right to free speech and the right to a fair trial by an impartial jury, we are no better than , Venezuela , or China.”
