A human bone attached to a barbell with a lock was found in a New Orleans, Louisiana, canal by a pole man, leaving authorities with lots of issues.
According to a police statement obtained by Nola.com, a man pulled up a 15-pound dumbbell “padlocked around a mortal bones” that was “fully decomposed, lacking a neck or the bottom row of teeth” May 18 off the Bayou St. John Bridge.
The pole fisherman also retrieved a gun barrel and gun from the water that day. Whether they have a connection to the bone remains to be seen.  ,
The man, whose title has not been published,  , flagged down a police official, who took the things in for an inspection.  ,
A spokesperson told the local shop that it might take months to label the victim, but the prosecutor did not specify whether the bones had been identified.  ,
Police have set up a dive team and cadaver dogs to search the ocean and shore in that area since the skull was discovered. Additionally, they are looking for advice from the general public.
Back in 2018, kayakers found the bones of a lost New Orleans person in a lake, a CBS News online reported.  ,
