Tesla CEO and X/Twitter user Elon Musk slammed Thursday’s guilty verdict of former President Donald Trump, saying “great damage was done to the public’s faith in the British legitimate system”, adding, “anyone is at risk” then that” a former president is be , illegally convicted over like a minor matter”.

The SpaceX CEO’s comments , came after a Manhattan jury , found President Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in his hush- money trial on Thursday.
Although this would ordinarily be a misdemeanor and the statute of limitations had already passed, District Attorney Alvin Bragg prosecuted the case as a felony by claiming that the alleged falsification of business records was carried out to cover up a federal crime. Trump has not been found guilty of a crime of this nature, and the prosecution did not specify what the crime was committed or how the evidence supporting it was presented.
Just four days before the Republican National Convention is scheduled to take place on July 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where delegates are expected to cast their ballots for Trump as the nominee for president, President Trump will be sentenced on July 11 in New York.
