The second 300 National Guard personnel were welcomed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as they moved to a new forth operating center close to the Mexican border north of Eagle Pass. On Friday, Abbott and Texas Border Czar Mike Banks, the adjutant general of Texas, big public Thomas Suelzer, gave a tour of” Forward Operating Base Eagle.” Following the visit, the Governor gave a media conference to reveal more information about the most recent developments at the base station.
Abbott stated at the press event that” troops deployed on Operation Lone Star have been dispersed for miles across the area, having to travel miles to operate and miles back to where they’re staying later that night.” He also explained his justification for setting up the base, which will eventually have the capacity to building up to 2, 200 Texas National Guard soldiers.

This basic camp will provide the kind of accommodation and standards of living that improve the quality of life for the men and women in costume, securing our frontier, and give Texas a continuous presence on the southern border, according to Abbott.
Construction on the site, which will typically provide 1,800 troops and have the ability to accommodate an additional 500 soldiers, is progressing quickly, according to Breitbart Texas reports. This will increase the total army’s capacity to 2,200. Soldiers are promised extraordinary improvements to their accommodations by the new onward operations base. The basic features unique rooms for the soldiers, a 700- chair dining service, a fun center, laundry facilities, and WiFi access. According to the Texas Military Department, the station will also offer ministry programs and services for medical and psychological care.

According to Texas Military Department contracting papers, the condition will give Team Housing Solutions Incorporated, a New Braunfels, Texas business,$ 131 million in operating expenses through September 2024. General Suelzer claims that the project will ultimately save taxpayer money and improve efficiency because it will shorten men ‘ time of arrival and reduce the need for hotels nearby.
According to Suelzer, who told reporters on Friday,” What we see here nowadays is the completion of phase one of the six stages for this base camp, many of the army you see behind me have had an hour transit time just to get to the border,” the opening and welcoming of the men marked the first of several in the basic design project. Some are coming from far-away base camps in the north, which are also far away. Our soldiers will be able to work more effectively by putting them here at this base camp.
According to Suelzer, the base will also be used to house the Texas Military Headquarters, which will be relocated from McAllen, Texas, as the project is completed.
According to statistics provided by the Governor’s office, Operation Lone Star has thus far resulted in 512, 300 migrant apprehensions and more than 43, 400 criminal arrests, with more than 38, 200 felony charges. More than 487 million lethal fentanyl doses have been seized by Texas law enforcement as part of the operation.
