One person was killed and eight were hurt when an house building collapsed in Istanbul, Turkey on Sunday, according to officials. The decline rekindled concerns about the strength of houses in a town prone to earthquakes.
On the state’s German side, TV photos showed firefighters manually shifting dust from the flattened five-story building in Kucukcekmece. Istanbul Governor Davut Gul said while visiting the image that seven people were originally pulled from the dust, two of whom were seriously hurt.
A figure was later recovered and one more wounded man was reported by his company.
The governor said the 36- yr- old framework collapsed at 8: 40 a. m. ( 0540 Utc ). Although the reason was not immediately known, there was no indication of an explosion or geological action. Only the top two decks were being used as dwellings, with the rest of the tower being occupied by companies.
In screenshots taken from a camcorder across the street, it appeared that bus people waiting to board the public bus at the time of the decline sprang into action.

Urbanization Minister Mehmet Ozhaseki claimed that the rooms had been constructed without requirements and that further details had been added illegally in the future.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, however, said two people – the building owner and the owner of a cafe on the ground floor – had been detained.
Speaking to reporters at the page, he identified the accident as a regional of Turkmenistan, as were many people living in the developing.
In southern Turkey and neighboring Syria, a scale 7.8 earthquake that struck last year claimed the lives of more than 59, 000 persons. The tragedy highlighted Turkey’s bad police of building laws.
Istanbul, with an official inhabitants of 16 million, lies near the North Anatolian Fault. A 1999 disaster centered to the south of the city killed at least 18, 000 persons. According to the city, there are 200 000 properties that are in urgent want of improvement and house 3 million people.
