Representative Maxine Waters ( D- CA ) said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s” The , Saturday , Show” that Republican men and women did n’t have” the courage or the patriotism to stand up for democracy”.
Host , Jonathan Capehart said,” I’m starting with you, because you predicted decades earlier, you said I’m counting on Stormy. Your response to Thursday’s amazing verdict”?
Waters said,” It’s a sad moment. I’m also bewildered and shocked that his followers continue to support him with his lies and deceptions. He says it is manipulated. He says, if they can do this to me, they can do it to you, bringing in others to support the falsehoods that he is telling”.
She added,” I’m amazed that those who claim to be so nationalist are thus immoral. I’m watching both what transpired on January 6 in Washington, D.C., and what is going on right then. The Republican Party’s members lack the strength and nationalism to fight for democracy. This former leader is bad, when ever he loses, wherever he is loses, he’ll say it is rigged. He will say somehow he does n’t deserve to have to be lawful. As the leader said, no one is above the law. The actions of those judges on that judge merit praise. You had seven people and five girls who rose to the dish, did the hard work, rolled out to America, and delivered the truth. This man is guilty, no one day, two days, three days, but on all 34 works. that’s amazing”.
